Sian Palmer – Johannesburg, Cape Town


Sian Palmer is the Founder of Expressive Movement South Africa, an HPCSA registered Drama and Movement Therapist (MA University of London). Inspired by her life-long love of dance, her experience of the power of movement as a healing modality in her MA and her personal journey of transformation on many 5 Rhythms and Movement Medicine dancefloors, Sian began her journey with developing the Expressive Movement form in 2009.  Through teaching and training facilitators Sian continues learning the value of embodied presence, authentic communication and creative expression through dancing in community. She is a firm believer in the power of dance as a medium for individual and collective healing and growth. Sian currently travels nationally and internationally offering Expressive Movement as medium of communication, integration and co-creation.

Mapule Moore

Mapule brings her experience in -flamenco, tap, modern, ballet, zumba, latin, ballroom, line-, circle- and East African dancing, therapeutic and artistic dance and love for dance and music,to facilitate spontaneous movement into freedom and connection.She is qualified with the Exercise Teachers Association with The Health Foundation.

Tanja Meyburgh

Tanja Meyburgh is a highly trained and experienced professional, registered with the HPCSA as a counseling psychologist. She is one of the founders of Systems Constellations training in South Africa, and has immersed herself and specialised deeply into this field since 2003. As founder of African Constellations, Tanja has trained hundreds of facilitators from around the African continent and is the current chairperson of the Systems Constellations Association of South Africa.

Carly Tanur

Carly combines her love for dance with 15 years of experience as a social process facilitator and visual artist. Dancing has been her way of coming home to herself, listening deeply for what her life is asking of her. In her classes she hopes to hold space for others to do the same.

Dannali Wilson

Dannali has over 10 years experience in a range of conscious dance forms, including 5Rhythms, Movement Medicine and Dance Awake. Through her own yoga journey over the last 22 years, alongside her MA in Reflective Social Practice, she has cultivated a delicate yet rigorous practice of observation, enabling the kind of awareness and presence required to listen to the innate wisdom of our bodies.
